1. History behind this temple

the temple was not Golden at the beginning of 1762, The Heritage site was fully destroyed by Islamic rulers. Later on a fearless Sikh, Maharaja Ranjit Singh rebuilt the whole place with marble and copper in 1809. And fully covered with gold in 1830.
