The actor was invited by Pranab Mukherjee as a chief guest for his contribution to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. It took place at Rashtrapati Bhavan in September 2015 in honor to appreciate his great contribution.

In season 8 of Kaun Banega Crorepati, Kapil Sharma appeared as a guest in the opening episode. Also seen as a guest for the Anupam Kher show and Koffee with Karan.
3. Wax statue
The comedian is lucky to have his own wax statue made at the Tussauds wax museum at Connaught Place Delhi in India.

He completed college at a Hindu college in Amritsar. Kapil holds a degree in computer science though he got himself enrolled in the course only because the class has air conditioning. But he learned nothing about computers as he holds no interest in the subject.

Since he was an excellent theatre artist colleges used to sponsor his education so that he could represent them in the college youth festivals. The actor once mentioned that when the authorities used to ask him which course would he like to opt for he answered saying which was the most expensive one. And so he ended up in commercial arts.
